Are you or is someone you love struggling with an addiction and seeking a treatment center that offers drug or alcohol detox and a wide range of individual and group therapy? Salt Lake Behavioral Health’s Courage to Change Program provides personalized addiction treatment services to help guide you to a more stable, healthy, happy, and productive life.
Group sessions within our Courage to Change addiction treatment program cover many different topics; anything from working through trauma, identifying triggers, dealing with anger, setting boundaries, safe and unsafe people, and building healthy relationships could be covered. Cognitive Processing Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (CPT and DBT) are both offered as part of our addiction treatment services.
At our alcohol rehabilitation and drug abuse treatment center, patients can attend group therapy sessions where each person is given a workbook to help them follow along and record their thoughts on each subject. The workbooks contain exercises to strengthen skills and build upon what’s talked about in each group. The purpose of the groups and the whole alcohol and drug rehab program is to give clients the skills they need to transition into recovery and the tools they need to stay sober.
In our program, patients receive one-on-one therapy weekly with a licensed therapist at our drug and alcohol abuse treatment center. Addressing the underlying reasons for substance abuse, such as a past trauma, is a critical part of treating the patient and setting him or her up for long-term success.
Our program features expressive therapies like Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Pet Therapy, Recreation Therapy, Yoga and more to help patients develop coping skills they can do on their own once they discharge.
Competent, Licensed Staff
All units in our medical detox treatment center are staffed with medical doctors (MDs), masters-prepared therapists (LCSWs) and registered nurses (RNs). Nurses are on the unit 24 hours a day, seven days a week. MDs meet with each patient six days a week. As part of our comprehensive addiction treatment services, therapists hold group sessions twice a day and individual sessions with the patients once a week.
Continuum of Care
When patients discharge from our alcohol rehabilitation and drug abuse treatment center, we encourage long-term sobriety by providing instructions and step-down procedures to follow. During the program, the staff will meet in person or by phone with the family of the patient to prepare the patient for a sober lifestyle.
Intensive Outpatient Program
Salt Lake Behavioral Health also hosts an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) with a specialized track for substance abuse. Contact us to learn more.
